What Women Know About . . . Mother's Wisdom


On the subject of advice from mothers:



My mother used to tell me when I was asked out by a guy that I didn't
like to go out with him anyway. "You never know who you'll meet in the
process!" she used to say! As it turned out she was right and I did marry the friend of
one of those very boyfriends!



Meeting Mr Right: She would say “you will meet him when you are least
expecting it; you will be filling up your car with petrol and look
over to the next pump and he will be standing there”. 16 happilly
married years later, I still look at the next pump every time I fill
up with petrol (don't tell my husband)!
